So Happy

                                                                                     My heart is full
                                                                                    today with thanksgiving.

A steaming cup of hot tea
on a cold afternoon.

The sound of a child's laugh.

Warm glowing heat.

                                        We are so blessed!

All that He dose is only for good.

Is that His voice I hear?
It fills me with joy and makes
me want to dance.

                                                     Blue sky on windy days.

Red and all the colors of the sunset.

Sunshine streaming
through the windows.

Dancing ice balls on the roof top.

Love that go's on and on forever.

                                                                                                     Early morning prayers.

The face of God in every season of life.

Seasons of resting in the Lord, a quiet place as to hear His voice.

The hand of God working all the time.

Today I find myself more in love
with my Lord, Beloved, Lover of my soul then yesterday.

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the
Lord; be it unto me according to thy word...

He postponed joy so you might share in it.
He willingly chose isolation so you might never
be alone in your hurt and sorrow."

Sunflowers in the Fall reminds me of bowing low, humbling ourselves, and dying to self.

When their heads become too heavy to hold up. they bow as low as thy can go,and after a while die.

I come along later on collect all the seeds so I can replant next year.

The Lord spoke to my heart. "If you want to do something great for me become a servant, become low for me, and humble yourself."

I want to die to self. I want less of me and more of Him. I want to be unseen. I want to be a blessing to others.

This is my prayer. "Oh Lord fill me with thyself I pray!"

The God who sees

And He said, Hagar, Sarais maid whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go?
                                                                                                  Genesis 16:8a

And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou
God seest me...
                                                                                                  Genesis 16;13

He is the God who sees!

I was very encouraged while reading this passage this week. A wonderful reminder that He sees and knows all things.  Sometimes it feels like you are on your own, no one understands, and God is too busy to notice where you are in life.  He not only knew Hagars name but knew who she was. (above verse)  He calls us by name and is acquainted with all our ways. Psalm139:1

I was reading through my last years journal and I found this.   Aug 3rd 2015

A bird just crashed into one of our big glass windows. My heart ached for it, almost as if I could feel its pain.  What a dreadful way to start your morning.

I got my garden gloves. In my night clothes, barefoot, and pink hoodie I went out into the cool morning.  I got the bird from between the screen and glass window and set him gently on the ground.
It's still alive, but I am sure suffering greatly.  I set him gently by the lighthouse, got some bird seeds and put it out in front of him.  I am sure he is frightened, But he had to trust that I knew what I was doing and what was best for him.

God spoke to my heart.  "You my daughter are greatly loved! I have not taken my eyes off you. I notice and I see."  I was all smiles!

" He is not all we would ask for (if we were honest),
but it is precisely when we do not have what we would ask for, and only then, that we can clearly perceive His all-sufficiency.

It is when the sea is moonless that the LORD has become my light."

Psalm 16

Thou wilt show me the path of life:

in thy presence is fulness of joy;

at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more. Psalm 16;11

This verse answer's a lot of my past questions.  Which path to take?

What will make me most happy and how do I make it last?

I have set the Lord always before me:

because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  Psalm 16:8

God has been so faithful to me even in my unfaithfulness to Him.
He has not asked me to understand all that He allows to take me through, He wants only for me to trust and obey.

The feeling of the wind just before rain.

A red headed woodpecker looking for bugs.

Lets take time this Summer girls to slow down and give thanks.

He is good

Today will never come again
These moments passing by
Packaged in my deepest ache
Are treasures in disguise
The sweetest gifts I've ever
Known from  your tender hand
I could not have guessed they would have come
Come the way you planned.

You are good
though I may not understand
(I have come to trust your hand)
You are good, you are good
I give thanks right where I am.

                                 Shannon wexelberg

I love the words to this song.  They speak to me in this season of my life.
I don't understand what God is doing, but I am confident that He is good. He has my very best in mind. Oh I pray for eyes to see His face everywhere.

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.

                                                                                                          Gen 28:16

I choose to give thanks right where I am even when it's not easy.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me… Habakkuk 2:1

God came… His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
And His brightness was as the light; He had horns coming out of His hand: and there was the hiding of His power.

Before Him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at His feet.
He stood, and measured the earth: He beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow; His ways are everlasting.   Habakkuk 3:3-6
  Then the Lord answered.

“You no longer need to ask the why because of who I am it is perfect. This season you are in is my perfect plan for you right now. Get to know me, and all the other things that worry and distract you will fade into the morning fog.”

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.  Job 42:5
I am at peace. Bowing before Him I find my resting place.
